The five ratios — and which frames they fit

Together these five cover essentially every standard wall-art frame your buyer might already own. Listing only one or two is leaving sales on the table.

2:3

Poster classic

Fits 4×6, 8×12, 16×24, 24×36 frames. The IKEA poster size, the Pinterest-friendly aspect ratio, and what most printable downloads default to.

3:4

Mid-range

Fits 6×8, 9×12, 12×16, 18×24 frames. Common in nursery and gallery-wall configurations. Often missing from Etsy listings — its absence is felt.

4:5

US most-asked

Fits 8×10, 16×20, 24×30 frames. The single most-purchased US wall-art frame size by a long way. If you only ship one ratio, this is the one to start with.

11:14

Matted classic

Fits 11×14 frames — the second-most-common US matted print and a staple of grandparent-gift territory.

ISO / A

Europe + AU

Fits A4, A3, A2, A1 frames — the standard outside North America. Including this ratio is what makes a printable listing genuinely international.

Why ship all five, not just two or three

Every ratio you skip is a buyer who messages "do you have an 8×10?" and then doesn't buy.

Wall art listings live and die on whether the ratio matches the frame the buyer already owns. Most printable-art shops on Etsy ship 2:3 only — sometimes 4:5 as a courtesy. The buyer with an 11×14 frame has to either crop your design (and lose composition), reprint at a different size (and pay extra), or just close the tab. They close the tab.

The five ratios in Wall Art Pro Pack are the standard recommended bundle in every Etsy seller community guide for printable wall art. Ratio Ready ships the exact recommended set, in the exact recommended order, without you having to remember which sizes go with which frame.

How one upload becomes a complete listing kit

1

Drop one image

JPG, PNG, WebP, TIFF, HEIF. 1024 px minimum, 50 MB cap.

2

AI upscale to master

3

Center-crop each ratio in parallel. Each output 300 DPI.

4

Render mockups + video

Your selected mockup set composites in parallel. Video too.

5

Bundle + deliver

Listing draft + buyer PDF + everything zipped to your storage.

One pass instead of six jobs

Run each piece separately and you pay for the AI upscale five times instead of once, re-upload between steps, and stitch six downloads together by hand. Wall Art Pro Pack runs the full pipeline as a single coordinated batch. The upscale happens once, the cropping is parallel, the mockups composite against the same master, and the watermark plus 300 DPI metadata stamp come included at no extra credits.

  • Piece by piece: AI upscale to 10K (10 cr), 5 mockups (10 cr), listing video (10 cr), listing PDF (10 cr), watermark and 300 DPI stamping (free) = 50 credits across six separate jobs
  • Wall Art Pro Pack: 50 credits, one job. Same outputs, one upload, one ZIP, one review.

At Boost $15 / 1,500 credits, that is enough Wall Art Pro Packs to ship 30 complete wall-art listings. At Stack $30 / 3,100 credits, about 62 listings. At Studio $75 / 8,000 credits, about 160 listings. No subscription, no monthly clock.

How this compares to stitching tools together

Photoshop + Placeit + a manual readme

A dedicated AI upscaler for the upscale, Photoshop ($23/mo + skill) for ratio crops, Placeit ($14.95/mo) for mockups, manual writing for buyer PDF and listing copy. ~30 minutes per listing once you know the workflow. Anywhere from 45 minutes to two hours when you don't.

Dynamic Mockups + a separate upscaler + Canva

Dynamic Mockups ($19/mo) for the mockups only, separate upscaler subscription, Canva for ratio crops and listing copy. Roughly $40–55/mo in tool fees + 20–25 minutes per listing in stitching.

Wall Art Pro Pack

50 credits, one coordinated production run, complete kit in one zip. Drag-drop your design, pick a mockup set, hit submit. No monthly subscription, no stitching, no four browser tabs.

Not sure your design is sharp enough for a five-ratio bundle? Try the free Print-Ready Check first — it tells you the largest size your image will print sharp before you spend any credits. Already running on a different mockup tool and want to migrate your PSDs? See the Switch from Smartmockups page. For background reading, the DPI explainer and frame size finder are both free.
