Zapier × Ratio Ready — automated mockup generation for Etsy
Already running other automations through Zapier? Same pattern works for Ratio Ready: webhook trigger to a Ratio Ready API call, then to Drive, then to Etsy. We'll cover the wiring — and when Make.com or n8n is the cheaper choice at volume.
how it works
Send a webhook from Zapier to Ratio Ready’s REST API. The webhook carries your image and job parameters. Ratio Ready returns a job ID, processes the file, and pushes assets to a Drive folder or returns a shareable link. For wall art jobs you get 5 print sizes (2:3, 3:4, 4:5, 11:14, ISO A1) at 300 DPI, up to 20 mockups, a 15-second 1:1 listing video, and a listing-copy PDF.
Typical per-listing work is 2 minutes to upload in Zapier and 3–5 minutes for processing. Zapier triggers consume Zap runs; Ratio Ready consumes credits (wall art = 59 credits).
zapier flow example
- Trigger: new row in Google Sheets or new Etsy draft listing.
- Action: Send a POST webhook to Ratio Ready’s REST API with image URL and job type (wall art, poster, clipart).
- Action: Poll job status or receive a callback webhook when assets are ready.
- Final step: Copy Drive link into Etsy draft, upload video, and paste listing-copy PDF content into the description or a private note.
This keeps everything on Zapier if you already use it for listings, shipping rules, or inventory updates.
make.com vs zapier vs n8n
Make.com: cheaper per operation and we provide a free Make.com blueprint that runs on the free tier (1,000 ops/month ~ 80–125 listings/month). Good when per-op cost is the limiter.
Zapier: great if you already use it. It’s a familiar UI and connects to many apps. Expect higher task pricing compared with Make.com. n8n: self-hosted option if you want full control and no third-party task costs.
All three can call Ratio Ready’s REST API or receive webhooks from us. Choose based on existing platform and task-pricing tolerance.
pricing and credits
Signups get 75 free credits. Wall art jobs cost 59 credits. Posters cost 55 credits. Clipart batches start at 29 credits + 10 credits per additional 5 images. Credits are consumed per job when processing completes.
Zapier itself bills by task runs. Ratio Ready bills in credits. Example: a single wall art job called from Zapier consumes 59 credits and one or more Zap runs depending on your flow (upload + status check + final step).
setup and timing
Expect a 30–45 minute one-time setup if you use our free Make.com blueprint. A Zapier setup is similar: build a trigger, POST to the REST API, and add a status-check or webhook listener. Per-listing time is 2 minutes to upload via the Zap and 3–5 minutes processing on our side.
We provide REST API docs, example webhook payloads, and sample Zap steps so you can be live in under an hour if you already use Zapier for other automations.
