How to automate Etsy listings — wall art and posters

Create a free Ratio Ready account at app.ratioready.com — 75 Creative Credits included on signup, no card required. In Settings → API, copy your pk_ key. This is what authorises the Make.com blueprint to upload your designs and pull finished bundles.

The free credits cover one full automated wall art listing end-to-end (5 print sizes, 20 mockups, video, PDF, Drive folder, Etsy draft). That's enough to test the entire pipeline before paying anything.

A free Make.com account is enough — no paid tier needed. Download the blueprint from your Ratio Ready dashboard (Integrations → Make.com → Download blueprint JSON). In Make.com, create a new scenario, click Import blueprint, and paste the JSON. The scenario imports with placeholders for your connections.

The blueprint has three connection nodes you'll wire up next: Ratio Ready, Google Drive, and Etsy. Everything else (file routing, draft creation, tag formatting) is pre-built.

• Etsy: Etsy's OAuth flow plus your shop ID. Etsy asks for explicit listing-creation permission — grant it.

For posters specifically, attach an Etsy shipping profile inside the draft-creation step. Posters are physical products so they need a shipping profile linked, or Etsy will reject the draft. Wall art and clipart are digital downloads and don't need this step.

Drop your wall art or poster design at app.ratioready.com — PNG, JPG, or WebP up to 50 MB. Pick wall art (5 ratios) or poster (single ratio). Optionally pick a mockup set (up to 20 templates from your library or your own PSDs). Submit. The Make.com blueprint takes over from here — no manual handoff needed.

You can also drive the upload from the API directly if you'd rather skip the web app — useful for batch ingestion of 50+ designs from your filesystem or Drive.

Most listings finish in 3–5 minutes. The blueprint pushes the bundle to Google Drive, generates a shareable link, and creates a draft Etsy listing with:

• Print files attached (5 ratios at 300 DPI for wall art; single ratio for posters)
• Mockups in the listing-photo slots (up to 20)
• 15-second 1:1 listing video in the video slot
• Mobile-shaped title (≤70 characters)
• Description and 13 SEO tags
• Drive shareable link in the digital-download field (wall art and clipart only)

Open the draft, review the title and tags (the AI is good but not perfect), hit Publish.

For sellers shipping 50+ listings/month the bottleneck shifts from publishing time to design time — which is the right kind of bottleneck. At that volume, also consider:

• Drive-triggered ingestion: drop new designs into a Drive folder; an n8n or Zapier scenario picks them up and calls the Ratio Ready API directly. Skips the web-app step entirely.
• Multiple mockup sets: keep one set per collection (e.g. botanical, typography, holiday) and pass the set ID as an API parameter so different collections render different mockup styles.
• Custom Etsy shop sections: extend the Make.com blueprint to put each draft in the right shop section based on the design's metadata.
